Tourney Time!

Leslie Bowman has been back and forth to the Bangor Civic Center we don't know if she's coming or going! She's taking photos of this year's basketball tournament for a future feature story she's working on with Joy Hollowell. Leslie has taken some great photos and we figured we'd share some of them with you now rather than waiting until the feature is published (next Jan/Feb issue if you're wondering).

While the tournament is taking place at the Cumberland Civic Center, Augusta Civic Center and the Bangor Civic Center, these were all taken in Bangor during the Class B, C, and D playoffs. Become a Bangor Metro facebook fan and leave comments for your favorite photos!

Bangor Civic Center
Class B
GIRLS: Nokomis defeated MDI in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play York @ 7:05 pm.

BOYS: Camden Hills defeated Ellsworth in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Falmouth after the girls game.

February 27

Augusta Civic Center
Class D
GIRLS: Fort Fairfield defeated S. Aroostook in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Greenville @ 1:05 pm.

BOYS: Schenck defeated Fort Fairfield in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Richmond @ 2:45 pm.

Class C
GIRLS: Calais defeated Washington Academy in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Madison @ 7:05 pm.

BOYS: Washington Academy defeated Calais in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Dirigo @ 8:45 pm.

Portland Expo
Class A
GIRLS: Skowhegan defeated Brunswick in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Scarborough @ 3 pm.

BOYS: Edward Little defeated Brewer in the Eastern Maine Championships and will play Cheverus @ 7 pm.
